What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences over time. "Similar technologies" include pixels (also called web beacons or tags) and server-to-server measurement, which work alongside or instead of cookies to understand and measure activity. Throughout this Cookies Policy, we use "cookies" to refer to all of these.

These let us measure our advertising and show you Maven ads on other sites.

When you submit the access-request form and have accepted marketing cookies, we also send Meta a record of that submission directly from our server, including a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address, to help measure whether our advertising worked. This is not a cookie, but it is the same kind of activity, and it happens only if you have accepted marketing cookies.
If you join our list, we work with Klaviyo to send you email. Klaviyo does not set any cookie in your browser to do this — the signup is handled directly between our server and theirs.
If you say no
Nothing in the analytics or marketing tables above is loaded at all. They are not loaded and then switched off — they never run.
Changing your mind
Use the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer. Turning a category off stops it immediately and reloads the page so nothing already running continues. We also remove the cookies we are able to reach; cookies set by Google or Meta on their own domains can be cleared in your browser settings.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the site may not work as intended.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a refusal of analytics and marketing cookies. You do not need to do anything else. You can still turn a category on deliberately if you want to.
Visitors in the EEA and UK
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, no analytics or marketing cookies run until you give consent through our cookie banner — consent is opt-in, and you can withdraw it at any time using the Your Privacy Choices link.
